The
Hatchery was put in place to foster
rehabilitation of the genetically unique
native Lake Trout strain in our local area.
It is intended to augment natural lake trout
reproduction in our local lakes while using
state of the art technologies in an
environmentally sensitive and sustainable
manner.
This year, the Hatchery stocked trout that it raised
from eggs collected 15 months previously into the
following lakes: L’Amable, Jamieson, Holland, McCauley
and Lavallee as outlined in the chart below.
